Mlm Pre Launches- is it the Best Time to Join a Network Marketing Company?

January 26, 2011

It is simple to get caught up with all the hype associated with an mlm pre-launch. Generally speaking, the company founders have done everything immaginable to market the event. It is fascinating to note that the purpose of a pre-launch is to set the stage for the actual launch of the mlm business. All hooplah aside, is the pre-launch a excellent time to get involvedĀ  with a network marketing company? This article will answer that question.

During the early stages of the pre-launch, an mlm company will generally seek out leaders. Frequently this is done in a “hush-hush” fashion, as many leaders may be involved with other companies. It is not unusual for leaders to leave an existing mlm company, and attempt to take some of their downline with them to the new opportunity. Some companies will really offers leaders a “buy-in” position with the new company. The “buy-in” entitles the leader to a top position in the company’s matrix.

Generally speaking, advertiisng is kept to a minimum during pre-launch. Press releases may be issued, but most of the advertising is the “word of mouth” variety. Thie type of advertising can be effective, as word travels quick in network marketing circles.

One of the problems with joining an mlm company during pre-launch, is that the company has not worked the “kinks” out of the operating systems. Inevitably, many problems occur with compensation plans, advertising sources, product availability, product pricing, and many other areas of the company’s operating procedures. Companies use the pre-launch to identify, and solve these problems.

If you are new, you have to “weather the storm”, as companies solve procedural problems!

The company also lacks momentum in the earliest stages. Because the bulk of advertising has not “kicked in”, recruitment efforts can be somewhat hindered. This can be discouraging for a new distributor. Most network marketing companies do not hit “momentum” stage until the 2nd year of operations.

In conclusion, mlm pre-launches can be a frustrating time to join a mlm company. My suggestion is to wait and see how the company evolves during the first year.
